OTA Takes on State of Oregon, ODOT for Overcharging Weight-Mile Tax

OTA and three member companies have filed suit in Douglas County Circuit Court to address the disproportionate overcharging of motor carriers for road use under the state’s weight-mile tax. The lawsuit was brought against Gov. Tina Kotek, Senate President Rob Wagner (D-Lake Oswego) and House Speaker Dan Rayfield (D-Corvallis) in their official capacities and against the state of Oregon and the Oregon Department of Transportation. OTA & Industry Happenings

Like our members, OTA is busier than ever these days. Find out where we've been and what we've been up to. With the legislative session, a number of infrastructure projects and proposed rules, our advocacy team has been juggling Zoom/Teams meetings and in-person appearances to ensure that Oregon's trucking industry is fully represented when and where it matters. We will also post opportunities for members to be heard - either in person or through something as simple as completing a survey or providing comments on industry-related topics.
