Driver
of the Month Recipients
The
Driver of the Month and Driver of the Year Award is
a program of the Oregon Trucking Associations Safety
Management Council to honor and recognize the best and
safest drivers in Oregon.
There
will be two (2) winners selected each month: one will
be line (over the road) and one local (city) driver.
The driver of the year will be selected from the monthly
winners (one line and one local). However, the monthly
winners will be evaluated at the end of the year to
make sure they have continued their level of excellence.
The
Selection Committee may include OTA safety department,
officers from agencies regulating highway safety, plus
impartial safety specialists from motor fleets and insurance
companies.
Nominees
must be employed by a member of Oregon Trucking Associations.
Nominations for Driver of the Month may be made by anyone.
The driver may be nominated for the following:
1. Long record of courteous and safe driving.
2. Outstanding deed of heroism or highway courtesy.
3. Outstanding contribution to highway safety.

forms due the 10th of each month.
